List of Current Openings for Bangalore

1) Sales (India—all metro cities)

Positions are open for senior sales people, who can take P&L responsibility but still have a passion to drive sales themselves. A track record for monetization for online portals or offline media sales is a must.

2) Freelance Writers (India—anywhere)

We are interested in people with demonstrated writing skills - blogs, online media or print, in topics related to media, entertainment and lifestyle in general. Writers can be from any part of India.

3) Front-end Developer (Bangalore)

We are looking for a good front-end developer to work closely with our UI and engineering teams. You, the candidate, will be expected to work extensively on the front-end interaction of a user-oriented Web 2.0 portal. A good aptitude for user experience, and how that translates into design and code, is therefore imperative.

You should be able to produce nice clean code, strict HTML (XHTML), and excellent CSS (CSS2) that work across all browsers.

REQUIRED:

  • Advanced skills in writing javascript
  • Experience in working with jQuery javascript library
  • Ability to write extensions to the jQuery
  • Ability to edit Photoshop files, and create basic graphics

BONUS:

  • Ability to work with PHP and MySQL
  • Sense of design, composition, and colours
  • Experience on mobile/wap platform

EXPERIENCE:

  • 3 years experience; of which 1.5 must be in JavaScript development

4) MySQL DB expert (Bangalore)

Position is open for talented individual with 5-6 years (or more) of very strong skills in DB design, and implementation, for Portal development. Individual must have experience in tuning DBs, implement Stored Procedure, Indexing, DB Scripting, and implementing DB (logical/physical implementation) for Portal type of applications.

5) Systems/IT Admin (Bangalore)

Positions are open for IT&Systems Admin role. Candidates must be experienced in planning, administration and maintenance of portal ecosystems. Selected candidates will be located in Bangalore R&D office.

Selected candidates will be responsible for the administration, maintenance and monitoring of company portals on a ongoing basis. As part of the job, individuals are expected to interface with web hosting partners and come up with plans to administer Company hosted portals.
